On behalf of our Board of Directors and our staff across the state of Texas, it is with great excitement and pride that we welcome you to The ALS Association Texas Chapter. We appreciate your interest in learning more about our chapter, our programs and services, and opportunities for you to help us achieve our life-changing mission.
Our new chapter is set up to help us better serve the Texas ALS community. A statewide organization allows for more efficient and effective services to ALS families and their caregivers, as well as creating more strategic opportunities for us to leverage support from donors and volunteers who want to make an impact across our great state. From enhancing and expanding the programs we currently offer our patients and their families to increasing our reach to individuals affected by ALS, our goal is to provide the best care and support possible to those suffering with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
With the creation of the new Texas Chapter, patients will be served as they have in the past. The new chapter will continue to have offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Houston, San Antonio and Austin and existing ALS Centers will remain open in San Antonio and Houston. Our vision is to create even greater access to care through collaborative partnerships and innovative approaches to improving the quality of life of our fellow Texans afflicted with ALS. Through our statewide phone number, as well as email and social media, we will be accessible to serve families and supporters throughout Texas.
We thank you for your interest and hope that we can continue to count on you to help The ALS Association expand and grow in Texas. With your assistance, we can fulfill our life changing mission to find effective treatments and a cure for ALS, while providing compassionate care and support to those who suffer with this debilitating disease. With more than a thousand Texans suffering from ALS, we have a solemn responsibility to make their lives better. With your support, we will continue to make sure our neighbors afflicted with this disease have a trusted partner to turn to when they need us most.
